One of the most remarkable characteristics of amber is its ability to preserve organic matter. Inclusions such as insects, plant fragments, and even small animals can be found trapped within the amber, providing a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric life. These inclusions make each piece of amber truly one-of-a-kind, with its own story to tell.
In terms of hardness, amber ranks at 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale, which means it is relatively soft compared to other gemstones.
