Tai Chung Says:

Amber is a unique and captivating gemstone that is not actually a mineral but a fossilized resin. It is formed from the hardened sap of ancient trees, mainly conifers, which existed millions of years ago. Amber is known for its warm, golden to orange-brown colors, although it can also be found in shades of yellow, red, and even green or blue.

One of the most remarkable characteristics of amber is its ability to preserve organic matter. Inclusions such as insects, plant fragments, and even small animals can be found trapped within the amber, providing a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric life. These inclusions make each piece of amber truly one-of-a-kind, with its own story to tell.

In terms of hardness, amber ranks at 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale, which means it is relatively soft compared to other gemstones.
